We realize that adopting a new app for communication can be daunting step for schools and there can be a lot of doubts. The feature list, the documentation, the jazzy posts on social media and the video demonstrations may sometimes not be enough to address such doubts.

Nothing comes close to first hand experience of using a platform to evaluate it. As such, we offer demo accounts to interested schools.



How does demo work ?

When you request a demo account, you will get account credentials for the admin role and the parent role. These credentials can be used to login to the actual app and the web console, exactly as a fully registered school.

You can check out how the app looks and feels from the school perspective as well as the parent perspective by logging in as the appropriate user.

Schooltune consists of a Web Admin portal, to be used by School Admins to maintain their school and user details and an app to be used for school-parent communication.

A school admin can register their school using Register New School option on Schooltune website. Once school details along with details of the school admin have been submitted, they will be reviewed and approved by Schooltune. School admin will receive an email confirming their registration and will be prompted to set their password. Using this they can now login to Schooltune Web Admin portal.

Admins will be guided through an easy data set-up wizard to upload their school data on Schooltune. Users will receive an email to confirm their registration on Schooltune. They can download the app and start using it after confirming their email address.

Schooltune is a parent-school communication app and can be used by school admins, teachers, drivers and parents.

Parents can use Schooltune to track their child's transport, keep an eye on the homework/assignments of the child, communicate with teachers/admins, to be alerted about upcoming school events etc.

Teachers can use Schooltune to take attendance and view attendance reports, create and receive opinion polls, communicate with school admins and parents, upload documents and pictures related to class events etc.

Drivers can use the transport module of Schooltune app to communicate the route status to the parents and school admins.

Admins can use the Schooltune app to communicate with parents and teachers, upload necessary school documents for parents to see, upload school pictures, create opinion polls and seek parents’ and teachers’ opinions on various matters/issues etc. Admins can use Schooltune web portal to maintain the core school data i.e. classes, subjects, students, teachers, parents etc.

Security begins with the data. Schooltune does not mandate or collect any data that is not vital to the functioning of the platform. Data items like address, phone numbers, date of birth are not mandatory. Apart from this there are other security measures that have been implemented to safeguard your data eg SSL to protect your data during communication between client and the server and to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks. Schooltune also encorporates data encryption to further safeguard your data.

Yes, you can. You can use the same login if you are a parent and have kids that go to different schools , if you are a school teacher in one school and have a kid that goes to a different school etc. If you have multiple roles on Schooltune app, then you will be asked to select your role first.

Schooltune is not a mere messaging app. It provides a way for parents and school to communicate in a structured way. There are separate modules for various communication needs rather than all of it being there in a series of messages being exchanged to and fro.

Parents can see the current location of the school transport in a map. Events can be created by schools and parents can get automatic reminders. Schools can seek opinion on variety of issues and see the results in a nice graphical format. Teachers can take attendance and see the reports in calendar format. Parents can send an absence notification which automatically goes to the right teacher. These are just some of the fetatures that makes Schooltune different.
